The gin takes its name from Ferdinand Geltz, a historical figure connected to the vineyard and co-founder of the VDP Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growers association. The brand draws on the distilling expertise of Avadis and the winemaking tradition of Zilliken — a house with more than 270 years of history — to articulate an identity in which wine and gin are understood as part of the same cultural landscape.
